Hinchingbrooke Hospital is to receive six new wheelchairs, thanks to a charity donation.
Gwen King has presented £2,700 to the Friends of Hinchingbrooke Hospital to help towards purchase of six wheelchairs for use by patients attending the hospital.
Gwen and daughter Donna raised the funds selling cards, jewellery and knitted items from her regular craft stall in the hospital reception area.
Gwen said she would like to thank everyone who supports the stall, including those who kindly donated knitted items, especially Dot Dighton, Mary Saunders and Karen Rumsey.
Michael Edwards, chairman of the Friends group, said: "The Friends of Hinchingbrooke Hospital are very grateful for the wonderful donation which helps not only the patients but also the staff who push the wheelchairs around the hospital.”
