Members of Huntingdon Drama Club are celebrating after a successful night at the Cambridge Festival.
The club picked up a hat-trick of awards at the festival’s closing ceremony.
Theor production of Desdemona: A Play About A Handkerchief won first prize for Best Production with cast members Paula Incledon Webber picking up the award for Best Individual Performance and Jen Spencer took home Best Supporting Performance.
The third member of the cast Steph Dickenson was also nominated in the performance category.
Director John Shippey said: “I was delighted with how the production turned out, and the awards were a huge bonus”.
The club’s next production is Nell Gwynn – a comedy by Jessica Swale that tells the true story of the first female star of the stage and famous mistress of King Charles II. ‘
Nell Gwynn is being stage at The Commemoration Hall, in Huntingdon, and will run from November 22-25.
