An amateur theatre group is gearing up to perform its latest production.
The opening night for St Neots Players' comedy production, Ladies Day, is tomorrow.
Ladies Day is a comedy-drama which tells the story of the fish-filleting foursome Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda, whose fortunes are set to change when they head to York for the races.
Factory hairnets make way for fascinators as the four friends hit the races for an unforgettable day out to celebrate Pearl's pending retirement.
They all enjoy a drink, a flirt and a flutter, but some events and chance meetings change things for them all, as secrets are spilt with the champagne and friendships are tested to the limit.
A spokesperson for St Neots Players said: "This is an exuberant comedy, written by playwright Amanda Whittington, and is about friendship across the generations, sisterly support and love about everything else."
Directed by Glenys Shaw, Ladies Day will be the St Neots Players' latest production following Dial M for Murder, taking place at the Priory Centre on September 21-23.
