A "prolific criminal" has been banned from entering a hospital and several businesses across Huntingdonshire for five years.
Ricky Homer, 36, of Ermine Street, Huntingdon, was handed the five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Cambridge Magistrates' Court today (September 14).
The CBO follows his last visit to Peterborough Magistrates' Court on August 23, where he was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison for a string of offences including assaulting emergency workers, theft, fraud by false representation and vehicle interference.
What does the CBO state?
-
He cannot enter any Huntingdonshire Business Against Crime (HBAC) store within Huntingdonshire
-
He cannot enter Trust premises, which is the entirety of Hinchingbrooke Hospital estate, unless he has a clinical need to do so and can provide an appointment letter upon request.
-
He cannot enter Cambridgeshire Police headquarters in Hinchingbrooke save for attendance by a pre-arranged appointment.
-
He cannot touch or enter any unattended vehicle without the express permission of the owner.
PC Janine Hagger said: "Homer is a prolific criminal with a catalogue of previous convictions.
"This new order will prevent him from causing any further disruption and misery to emergency workers, businesses and staff across Huntingdonshire.
"If he chooses to continue to offend and not change his ways, he will be arrested and put before the courts where breaches will be taken seriously."
HBAC scheme manager Hannah Hancock added: "We fully support this CBO. It is hoped it will deter him from engaging in criminal activity, which has a massive impact on retailers within Huntingdonshire."
