An inquest has been opened into the death of a 21-year-old man who was involved in a single-vehicle collision near Woodwalton.
Brandon Francis died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge on August 17, five days after the collision along the B1090.
Elizabeth Gray, an area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, opened the inquest into his death today (Thursday) at Lawrence Court, in Huntingdon.
At the brief hearing, the matter was adjourned for a future date.
Mr Francis, of of Cockbrook Lane, Old Weston, was described as a “much-loved son, brother and friend” in a tribute released by his family.
He was driving a black Ford Fiesta along Woodwalton Road towards Monks Wood Road when the left the carriageway and went into a ditch just after the Bridge Street junction.
The incident happened shortly before 6:30pm on August 12, and no other vehicles were involved.
Police are appealing for witnesses or any dashcam footage.
