A V8 Hotstox race from Huntingdon is targeting a world title and a highest-ever finish at this year's World Championships at Mildenhall.
Guy Jolly will start 4th on the grid out of 31 drivers from all over the UK, New Zealand and the Netherlands who have qualified for the Championships at Mildenhall Stadium this weekend (September 2).
The race will be the 40th Running at the Suffolk venue, and for Guy, it will be his 14th World Final at the age of 33 and the highest he has qualified up to yet.
"I believe this year poses a great shot at bringing the World Title back to Huntingdon," said Guy.
I have had good success at the venue before, and there is no reason we can't have a good race, although the first early part of the race will be key to avoid any tangles."

V8 Hotstox racing is a British stock car racing formula that races on British short oval racing circuits.
Guy qualified for the championships following 12 months of racing, qualifying as one of the top 32 seeded drivers, including no less than four women racers.
Guy's highest-ever finish at the World Championship is 5th in 2021, and off the back of a third-place finish in the British Championship, he is aiming to better it.
