Students and staff at Swavesey Village College, part of Meridian Trust, are celebrating another successful GCSE results day.
Among the college’s highest achieving students was Lizzie Dickerson, who achieved ten grade 9s and 2 grade 8s, and Polly Atkin and Adele Radcliffe, who achieved 8 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s each.
Alexios Simms also achieved 7 grade 9s and two grade 8s amongst his results.
A special mention goes to Agnes Anthony and Aron Harrower who made the most progress across all their subjects.
Success was seen in the study of languages, with 15 grade 9s across the school and 75% grades at 7+ in the first year of teaching Latin GCSE.
The college is particularly proud of Connie Wilson who achieved grade 9s in three different languages.
It was also an especially successful year for Maths, with 22 grade 9s and 31% of students achieving a 7+ grade.
Headteacher, Claire Mills, said: “Yet again, I am delighted and extremely proud of all our students who have overcome the challenges presented to them throughout their GCSE journey.
“It has been my privilege to lead the school this year to such a successful set of results.
“Our students have shown great resilience through their GCSE journeys over the last two and a half years, demonstrated through their consistent hard work.
“They have adapted to full specification criteria and a return to pre-Covid grading exceedingly well to show what a successful year group they are.
“I wish all of our Year 11 students the greatest success in the exciting future ahead of them.
“The successes of the school would not have been possible without our amazing team of inspiring staff who have continued to go above and beyond for our students.
“I cannot thank them enough.
