A 62-year-old man died at the scene of a crash near Hemingford Abbots on Friday (July 14), police have revealed.
Officers are now appealing for information into the collision which happened at around 4:10pm along the A1307.
A red Ford Focus travelling towards Huntingdon collided with a black Volkswagen Beetle.
The driver of the Focus, who was from St Ives, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the Beetle, a 19-year-old woman from Swavesey, suffered minor injuries.
Before the collision happened, a silver BMW, driven by a 48-year-old man from Swavesey, had left the road and was on the grass verge. He suffered minor injuries.
Sgt Chris Payne, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “A man has sadly lost his life in this collision and my thoughts are with his family.
“I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or has dashcam footage of the BMW, Focus or Beetle in the build-up to the collision as this could greatly assist my officers in their investigation.”
