A care home team in St Ives welcomed the community for a Notting Hill inspired festival event.

Visitors enjoyed live entertainment from local singer, Cory Lewis, as well as a steel drum band.

In true festival fashion, the home was decorated with bunting and flower garlands, and party-goers were given their own special VIP passes to the event.

Visitors were also treated to traditional Caribbean dishes and vibrant cocktails specially prepared by the home’s talented head chef.

Peter Liddiard, aged 80, who is a resident at Field Lodge, said: “This was the first festival I’d ever been to and it was fantastic – the garden was so colourful and everyone was smiling. I love music and really enjoyed all the dancing.”

Linda Martinez, home manager at Field Lodge, added: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our Notting Hill inspired festival where we enjoyed plenty of dancing, cocktails and sunshine.

“Our festival offered a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational interaction, as families, friends, and neighbours came together to enjoy the festivities."
