A time capsule will be laid in the Anglo-Saxon minster church in Great Paxton as part of the village's history weekend and the church's 1,000th anniversary, which was back in 2020.
The time capsule will be sealed and laid in the church's bellringing room on Sunday (July 2), which a proposed opening date of 2100.
Time was given to villagers to suggest what items should be placed inside, which gives future Paxtonians an idea of what life was like in 2022/2023.
From an Argos catalogue to reflect the sort of items being purchased and the sort of prices being paid to reflections written by villagers about life in the village, plenty of times will be placed inside.
Member of the Great Paxton History Society, Graham James, said: "Schoolchildren and the guiding groups also contributed letters written to children in the future, and some grandparents wrote notes to their grandchildren in the hope that they will be in the area in 77 years time to read them."
