For more than 60 years, award-winning theatre company Shakespeare at The George (SaTG) has performed in the atmospheric open-air Jacobean courtyard of The George Hotel in Huntingdon, once the home of Oliver Cromwell’s grandfather and, later, the headquarters of King Charles I.

This summer the courtyard will be transformed into a sun-dappled Tuscan villa for its much anticipated production of Much Ado About Nothing, one of Shakespeare’s most brilliant and sparkling comedies and you could be there for free.

Win Tickets

The Hunts Post has teamed up with SaTG to offer one reader a pair of tickets. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, answer this question: Which Huntingdon venue is the host for the production?

Send your answers to: debbie.davies@newsquest.co.uk. Closing date is Friday, June 9.

The play is set Renaissance Italy, and follows a wealthy merchant who welcomes a victorious duke and his entourage to his Tuscan Villa where they enjoy feasting, dancing, revelry and romance.

However, the actions of an angry, vengeful man threaten to destroy friendships and ruin lives, but is foiled by the intervention of the intrepid Night Watch.

This Shakespeare masterpiece is a melting pot of undiscovered love, courtship, treachery, deceit, gallantry and honour – spiced up with verbal jousting, social-climbing and general buffoonery.

For the first time, a Touch Tour will also run prior to the show on July 3 to make the play more accessible and enjoyable for blind and partially sighted theatregoers by touching the scenery, props and costumes to help understand the play as it unfolds.

Also, SaTG has reserved the front two rows of seating to enable visually impaired audience members to get a closer view of the action if possible, and these can be booked by ringing the box office on: 07716 993693, and leaving a message for someone to ring back.

Much Ado About Nothing, sponsored by Urban & Civic, runs from June 27 to July 8 (except Sunday July 2) with tickets on sale a: www.satg.org.uk/tickets.
