Inquests have opened into the deaths of a father and son who were shot dead at their homes at the end of March.
Days after the joint funeral of Gary Dunmore, and his son Josh, their inquests opened today (May 4) at Peterborough Town Hall.
Simon Milburn, an area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, explained police were called to reports of gunshots from Josh’s home, in Meridian Close, Bluntisham, on March 29.
A paramedic confirmed his death at the scene at around 9:40pm.
Officers were also called to reports of gunshots from his father, Gary’s home in The Row, Sutton, where he was found deceased inside the property.
His death was also confirmed by a paramedic 20 minutes later at 10pm.

A man has attended court charged in connection with the murders of both men.
Stephen Alderton, 66, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm.
At both inquest openings, Mr Milburn explained post mortem examinations were carried out on both men on April 3 at Peterborough City Hospital.
The cause of death for Gary, 57, was confirmed as 1A shot gun wounds to the head and torso.
For Josh, 32, the cause of death was recorded as 1A shot gun wounds to the head and chest.
Both inquests have been adjourned.
At the hearing for Josh, Mr Milburn said: “Again, I’m adjourning this case and it is likely the inquest will be suspended in due course depending on the outcome of police investigations.”
On Tuesday (May 2), hundreds of mourners packed into the West Chapel at Cambridge City Crematorium for Gary and Josh’s joint funeral.
A livestream of the service was also arranged at Bluntisham Baptist Chapel.
A fundraising effort launched in their memory has already raised over £8,000 for the Magpas Air Ambulance, which was among the first responders to attend the shootings.
Gary and Josh’s family would like to raise £10,000 for the charity, which is based in Huntingdon.
