Anglian Water has issued an apology for disruption caused by a burst water main in the St Neots area this morning (May 4).
Homes in Eaton Socon and Eaton Ford were without running water for several hours. Police attened a section of the A1 at Eaton Socon after water spilled onto the carriageway.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “Anglian Water operations team attended a burst water main in the St Neots area earlier this morning.
As a result of this water spillage briefly went onto the A1 and police were in attendance to traffic manage away from the nearside lane.
“The main is now under control and all properties including the local school, Crosshall Infants School, are now fully back on water and our teams are now working on the repair.
“We apologise for any disruption to service first thing this morning.”
