A St Ives theatre group is busy rehearsing for its next production - a comedy musical, which will be performed next month.
Following on from their highly successful production of Aladdin, The Centre Theatre Players will perform ‘A Slice of Saturday Night' at Burgess Hall in St. Ives from May 17-20, with shows starting at 7.30pm.
Written by The Heather Brothers, this hilarious show is a homage to the music of the swinging sixties and is set at Club A Go-Go, a cavern type cellar club in a provincial English town, where the audience will follow the lives and loves of a group of youngsters.
If you like your sixties music, then this is a show you will not want to miss.
The show, which will be directed for The Centre Theatre Players by Nick Thompson, was first produced in Brighton during the 1980s before moving into London’s West End where it enjoyed a long and successful run.
Tickets for the show are already on sale and can be purchased online via www.ticketsource.co.uk/burgesshall or direct from the main One Leisure reception.
This show is considered unsuitable for under 12s.
