The owner of the Ambiance cafe in St Neots has pledged to donate his profits for the coming months to help the children and families in Turkey and Syria heavily impacted by the earthquake.
Anil Timur runs the family cafe from Riverside Park and has set up a fundraiser for the community, which he hopes will raise enough money alongside his own contributions to build shelter and offer vital support.
Anil said: "I wanted to do my part. Hopefully, if the business is well, then all the profits next month will go towards the fundraiser as well."
At the start of February, Anil donated £1,000 of profits to the fundraiser, which currently stands at £1,505 raised.
Anil added: "It's stressful, but at the moment, I'm still going to a home with a roof over my head, I've still got food on my plate, my family is next to me, and I'm in warmth, so my stress is nothing compared to the people out there at the moment."
Anil's parents are both from Turkey, and his dad's family live in Malatya, one of the areas affected by the earthquake.

Despite his relative's homes being heavily damaged, he says the houses are still standing.
Anil said, "they're all okay at the moment," and that he wants to focus his fundraising efforts on helping those without a home.
On his fundraising page, Anil said: "Seeing kids with no parents, no homes, nothing left is breaking my heart.
"I know times are hard for everyone, including myself, but I cannot oversee this and blink an eye with no help."
Anil said he wants to raise as much as £40,000 to offer more than just blankets and tents to victims of the earthquake but to potentially build a youth centre within his family's community in Turkey.
Anil wants to involve as much of the St Neots community in his fundraiser as possible, and If you wish to donate, visit: www.gofund.me/eee6235e.
