Kimbolton School's governors have appointed the successor of current headmaster as he approaches retirement.
The current headmaster, Jonathan Belbin, is retiring this summer after 21 years of "exceptional" leadership and service to the school.
Will Chuter, currently Cranbook School, Kent's headteacher, has been chosen to succeed Jonathan from September 2023.
Will, a Durham University graduatewith a First Class Honours in Ancient History, previously served as Gresham’s School deputy head and head of classics and housemaster at Uppingham School.
He impressed governors with his experience, achievements and "passion and commitment to the provision of education" challenging and nurturing each individual child. As well as his enthusiasm for Kimbolton.
Will said: “I feel privileged to have been appointed as Kimbolton's next Headmaster and am grateful to have been given the opportunity to build on the superb work of Jonathan Belbin.
"Kimbolton is clearly a special place, and I have been bowled over by the warmth of pupils, staff and governors in my visits."
The school said they're looking forward to welcoming Will, his wife and their children into the Kimbolton community.
