The Black Bull pub in Brampton is making sure no one goes hungry this winter by offering a free Christmas dinner for struggling families.
Landlord Malcolm Beswick and his partner Rhiannon have organised a three-course meal and live entertainment from their heated marquee for hundreds to enjoy on December 27.
The pub can cater to more than 300 people and is urging people to make families and those deserving of the wonderful initiative aware so that no one misses out this festive period.
“It’s a chance for us to give back even in these torrid times,” said Mr Beswick.
“Hopefully, it will be a success, and people will have something to cheer about over Christmas as opposed to thinking we can’t afford this.”
"If we can connect one family with another family, and they can have their Christmas together next year, then that would be absolutely fantastic.”
The pub is working with Diamond Hampers CIC for the event, and volunteers from Buckfest will be helping on the day and can give families without transport lifts to get to Brampton on the day if needed.
Mr Beswick is also encouraging attendees to bring their Christmas trees with baubels and all to make a Christmas wonderland and help make the day feel special.
