The A428 is closed in both directions between the B1043 and B1428 roads near St Neots due to an overturned lorry.
The lorry was carrying grain which spilled across the road, forcing road closures and the B1428 roundabout to close.
National Highways reported that the lorry overturned and came to rest on its side after a collision and that Cambridgeshire Police also confirmed "significant fuel spillage" from the incident.
A spokesperson for the police added: "The driver of the lorry has been taken to hospital. The extent of injuries are not known."

The police added that the road would remain closed for some time while the scene is cleared, meaning there will be subsequent heavy delays.
National Highways service providers have been requested to assist with traffic management and clear-up.
If you're heading to the A428 in Cambridgeshire, National Highways have posted diversion details on their website at www.nationalhighways.co.uk/travel-updates/travel-alerts.
