Robert (Bob) Armstrong The staff at T. L. Cobbold would like to sincerely apologise for the insertion of the previous death notification and any errors within for the late Mr Robert Armstrong. We are sincerely sorry for any upset this has caused the family. The correct announcement is below ROBERT ARMSTRONG (BOB) 20.3.1929 – 13.8.2022 We are sad to announce that Bob, beloved husband to Barbara and much-loved Father to Glyn and Clifford passed away after a short illness on the 13th August 2022. Bob will be sorely missed by Barbara, Glyn, Clifford, his daughters in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob originated from Suffolk, but made his home successively in Abbotsley, Waresley, Great Gransden and Eaton Socon. As a long-standing employee of Collings Bros of Abbotsley, Bob made many friends in the farming community and loved the countryside. Bob’s passion for gardening, his allotment and love for singing kept him busy during his long retirement. He also delighted in seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow into the loving family he was blessed to have around him. Bob will live on in our memories and may he rest in peace. The funeral for Bob will take place on Thursday 15th September 2022 at 2 pm at St Mary’s Church, Great North Rd, Eaton Socon, St Neots PE19 8EJ Family flowers only please and donations if desired may be made payable to Cancer Research UK and sent c/o T L Cobbold, 11-13 New Street, st Neots, Cambridgeshire PE19 1AE.
