JANET THOMPSON (PIC) Of St Ives, passed away peacefully in Addenbrookes Hospital on Tuesday 22nd October 2019. Beloved wife to the late Tony, a devoted mum to Lesley, Debbie, Jackie and Wendy, and a cherised grandma to Daniel, Karla, Alix, Tom, Jordan, Bobbi, Ellie and Joe. Janet will be sorely missed by all her family and many close friends. Janet was renowned for her many years as a swimming teacher at St Ivo Recreation Centre. You are welcome to join the family for a short committal at Cambridge Crematorium, West Chapel, on Friday 15th November at 11.00am, followed by a service of thanksgiving at 12noon at St James Church, Church Lane, Hemingford Grey. Family flowers only please, but donations can be made to Mission Possible UK (a charity close to Janets heart, working with the poor, marginalised and forgotten in Africa) via https://mpuk.org/ or on the day. Colourful clothing requested.
