A Huntingdonshire zoo has launched a competition to name four cheetah cubs, with proceeds going to a conservation charity.
Hamerton Zoo Park is running a contest to name four cubs born last October in order to raise funds for the Cheetah Conservation Fund.
‘Jetts’, the cheetah mother, had two girls and two boys, who have spent the summer developing their personalities in the main cheetah paddock.
The zoo, which supports the charity annually on Cheetah Day, August 24, charges a £2 donation to suggest a name.
The Cheetah Conservation Fund addresses issues regarding wild cheetah populations and the human communities that inhabit the same landscape.
The park's keepers will pick the four best names, each of which will be entered into a draw.
The grand prize is a family day pass to the zoo.
The remaining three winning entries receive a single day pass.
The cubs, described as excellent ambassadors for the fund, will likely participate in future breeding programs and may reside in a different zoo someday.
The contest ends on September 7 at 12pm.
